This study aims to define morphophonological rule and phonological rule in Present-day Korean, and to research their rule ordering. In this paper, I examine to establish morphophonological rules and phonological rules in order to explain clearly many phonological phenomenons. And the rule ordering is as follows: morphophonological rules ⇥ phonological rules(necessary rules ⇥ optional rules) The rule ordering is very strict, and morphophonological rules and phonological rules do not apply to cross.
