Abstract

This paper aims to identify the ideological foundations and emotional characteristics of the 11 works of Nogyegasa. To enhance the efficiency of the analysis and the cohesion of the discussion, Nogyegasa's works are divided into six categories: war, love and pleasure, pastoral life, mountains and rivers, respect for the wise, and commemoration of virtue. The methodological approach to examining the ideological orientation of the works involves comparing the thoughts, ideologies, and fragments of reasoning related to the central motifs of each work with the philosophical systems of Confucianism and Neo-Confucianism. As is widely known, this is to analytically examine whether Park In-ro's works are fully imbued with Neo-Confucian thought. Additionally, the emotional flow that pervades the works in the context of the relationship between ideology and reality is explored. Chapter 2 analyzes the flow of thought and emotional waves revealed in the works related to war, love and pleasure, and pastoral life, which demonstrate the conflict between ideology and reality. Then, in Chapter 3, the thoughts and expressions of calm emotions embedded in the works related to the mountains and rivers, respect for the wise, and commemoration of virtue are examined, showing the identity between ideology and reality. In the conclusion, the discussion is summarized, and as a result, it is confirmed that Nogyega was not merely an author fully immersed in Neo-Confucian ideology, but rather a poet with flexible and multilayered thoughts and emotions. In the conclusion, the discussion is summarized, and as a result, it is confirmed that Nogyega was not merely an author fully immersed in Neo-Confucian ideology, but rather a poet with flexible and multilayered thoughts and emotions.
