도벽과 거짓말을 하는 청소년 자녀를 둔 재혼가족에 대한 사례연구

본 연구는 재혼가정에서 남편의 전 처와의 관계에서 낳은 내담자와 새엄마, 그리고 현재 부부사이에서 낳은 자녀를 둔 가정에서 도벽과 거짓말의 문제를 가진 고등학교 1학년에 재학 중인 내담자를 부모가 본 연구자에게 의뢰한 사례연구이다. 내담자는 치료자에게 의뢰되기 이전에 모 아동신경정신과에서 8회 상담을 받은 사례이다. 내담자는 중학교 2학년 때 PC 중독이 있었고, 중학교 3학년 때는 여자 친구 문제가 있었으며, 부모가 PC방에 가는 것을 막은 이후에는 도벽과 거짓말을 하기 시작하였다.연구자는 근거이론적인 분석방법을 활용하여 내담자의 거짓말과 도벽에 영향을 미친 요인들과 상담 후 내담자의 변화에 영향을 미친 요인들을 중심으로 분석을 하였다. 내담자의 도벽과 거짓말에 영향을 미친 요인들로는 아빠의 엄격한 규칙, 아빠의 일방적인 의사소통방식, 아빠의 폭력, 역기능적인 부부관계, 그리고 새엄마에 대한 의구심이 발견되었다. 마지막으로 상담 후 내담자의 변화에 영향을 미친 요인들로는 아빠의 융통성 있는 규칙, 아빠의 기능적인 의사소통, 사라진 아빠의 폭력, 기능적인 의사소통과 부부관계 회복을 발견할 수 있었으나, 새엄마에 대한 의구심은 여전히 확인될 수 없었다.
Abstract
This study examined the factors influencing the lying and stealing behaviors of a 16 year-old boy in a remarried family, as well as the factors affecting the subsequent decrease in the symptoms. The family—father, mother, and two children—participated in 14 therapy sessions, which included individual, marital, and family counseling. The researcher used grounded theory to code the qualitative data, finding that the son’s negative behaviors were influenced by the father’s strict rules, unilateral communication style, and physical abuse, along with the son’s suspicions about his step mother. The resolution of the son’s problems was linked to the father becoming more flexible, more functionally communicative, and less abusive, as well as the repair of the marital relationship.
