초록

Desire of treating aging skin is increasing in proportion to the overall improvement in standards of living. Many researchers put a lot of efforts on developing anti-aging materials as a way of meeting those needs. In these anti-aging materials, materials which belongs to Carotinoid line have very strong anti-aging effect. However, those materials are very vulnerable to outside circumstances, such as lights, heat and oxygen. At the same time, some of them are not soluble in water, oil or other organic dissolvent, so it is impossible to describe all those materials and examples that cannot be used in the real products. Nowadays, many researchers use surfactants or emulsifiers to make those materials stable by capturing them in emulsion or capsulation status. Still, this method has some problems when applied in real industry, because it causes micelle to cohere, or to be degraded in solution due to dispersion of functional materials. In short, it cannot make functional materials physically and chemically stable. In this research, we applied NLV technology which is progressive nanoparticle technology to make astaxanthin stabilized. NLV technology is upgrade of existing solid lipid nanoparticle, and very effective for stabilizing very unstable materials. We found out that NLV still retained high stability even though it had been mixed with normal cosmetics texture.
