Abstract

Recently, citizens' gender sensitivity has become very high, and working hard unconditionally can no longer be a job performance that guarantees the safety of citizens. The exercise of gender equality sensitivity not only in the investigation process of victims of gender violence but also in all areas of police work is a basic premise to provide safety equally to all the people. Understanding the diversity of the people is the first step for the police to have gender equality sensitivity because our society consists of men and women, non-disabled and disabled people, adults and children. In other words, gender sensitivity as a police officer's job volume is a key element of public security that sympathizes with citizens' lives, protects victims, and protects them, and is a major concept for fair investigation and law enforcement. Therefore, the study looked at the influence of police gender sensitivity factors, the relationship between police gender equality policy recognition and satisfaction, and police gender sensitivity factors on police gender equality policy recognition and satisfaction at a time when police gender sensitivity is important. In order to carry out the purpose of this study, a survey was conducted on a total of 600 police officers working at the Metropolitan Police Agency and the police station. The analysis of this study shows that the higher the tolerance and gender role stereotypes of sexual harassment among individual members, the more negative the gender equality policy itself, and education is not necessary. On the other hand, the better the institutionalization of sexual harassment in the organization, the lower the awareness of the importance and need of education at the same time as the positive awareness of gender equality policies, can be seen. In addition, in order to improve the awareness and satisfaction of the police gender equality policy, organizational culture should be improved so that sexual harassment in the organization is well institutionalized, and on the contrary, sexual harassment in the organization is less tolerant. Based on these findings, the study presented directions for the creation of a gender equality organizational culture of the police and the promotion of measures to eradicate sexual harassment in the organization.
