반전(反戰) 양식의 형성과 교육적 실천: 마르크스주의에 기초한 반전교육의 모색

초록

전쟁과 교육의 관계에 대한 사유는 오늘날 교육(철학)연구자들에게 중대한 과제이다. 제국주의적 전쟁에 반대하는 이론과 실천에 영향을 끼쳐온 마르크스주의는, 당면 전쟁의 신속한 중단을 목적으로 하는 반전(反戰)교육을모색하는 데에 유용한 사유의 재료를 제공한다. 마르크스주의에 기초한 반전교육은 하위인민으로서의 서발턴이전쟁의 종식과 평화에 공통된 이해관계를 지닌다는 사실에서 그 현실적 가능성을 찾는다. 반전의 양식을 형성하는 것에 중점을 두는 반전교육은, ① 하위인민이 공유하는 반전의 이해관계에 대한 인식, ② 이 이해관계를 실현하기 위한 실천의 필요성에 대한 인식을 구체적 목표로 삼는다. 이 교육은 전쟁에 대한 부정적 감정을 공유하는것에서 출발하여, 전쟁으로부터 얻을 수 있는 ‘국익’은 결국 지배계급의 이익임을 알리고, 하위인민의 공통된 반전 이해관계를 실현하기 위한 실천의 필요성을 이론적 경험적 측면에서 확인시켜야 한다. 이러한 교육은 반전을위한 실천의 가능성을 높인다. 이 반전교육은 반전운동 속에서 이론과 실천의 통일을 지향하는 것이다. 국가 간협의체를 통한 전쟁 중단 가능성이 희박해 보이는 상황에서, 반전교육은 교전국의 억압을 뚫고 나온 희망의 목소리에 대한 응답의 하나가 될 수 있다

Abstract

Thinking about the relationship between war and education is a significant task for today’s educational (philosophy) researchers. Marxism, which has influenced the theory and practice of opposing imperialist war, provides useful materials for contemplation regarding anti-war education aimed at quickly stopping the present war. Anti-war education based on Marxism finds its realistic possibility in the fact that “lower positioned people”(people with less social prestige) have a common interest in the peace and the end of war. Anti-war education, which focuses on forming the anti-war good sense, has the following concrete objectives: ① perception of the anti-war interests shared by lower positioned people, and ② perception of the need to practice to realize these interests. Anti-war education starts with sharing negative feelings about war, informing the people that the “national interest” to be gained through war is ultimately that of the ruling classes, and clarifying the need to practice to realize the anti-war interests of the lower positioned people. Anti-war education increases the possibility of anti-war practice. Moreover, such education seeks to unify of theory and practice in the anti-war movement. In a situation where formal international organizations are unlikely to stop the war, anti-war education can be one of the responses to the voices of hope that break through the oppression of belligerent states.
