이 글은 1차 교육과정기부터 2007년 교육과정에 이르기까지 총 8차례의 교육과정이 바뀌는 동안에 초등학교 국어 교과서의 단원 구성 방식이 어떻게 변화 왔는지를 살펴본 것이다. 단원 구성 유형은 3차 교육과정기까지는 주제 중심형이 강했다. 4차 교육과정기에는 문종 중심형이 강했다. 5차 교육과정기는 목표 중심형을 취했고 이후 교육과정에서도 이 방식을 주된 방식을 이루어지만 교육과정이 바뀜에 따라 점차 언어 사용의 목적 중심형이 강해지는 양상을 보이고 있다. 앞으로 이러한 방식이 더 강조될 필요가 있다. 단원 전개 방식에는 3차 때까지는 읽을거리를 이해하는 형태가 주류를 이루었다. 5차 교육과정 이후에는 단원이나 차시의 목표를 달성하는 데 결집되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 앞으로는 너무 세부적인 것이 아니라 하나의 텍스트를 온전히 이해하고 수용하는 데 초점이 맞추어져야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This article investigate The change aspects of unit organization in the elementary korean textbooks. Unit types are changed as curriculum. 1th-3th has thema-based types. But 4th has kinds of text-based types. And Their are objects-based types from 5th to 7th. 2007 text book also. I think that language use-based types emphasized from now. There are many changes in unit unfold types. It has focused understanding of reading materials until 3th. Understanding to application pattern mainstream from 5th to now. I think that vary types must applicate in the construction of text.
