연설 수행 과정의 분석적 평가 방안

Abstract

The present study evaluates the discourse pattern characteristics of public speech and public speech performance process and implementation for each process. High school textbooks on ‘Speech Communication and Composition’ was analyzed in order to investigate the current situation of public speech education. As a result, no or insufficient instruction was being given for the public speech process. Besides, the public speech units contain reading and writing a speech manuscript, but does not include the activities of performing public speech by the student. The activities in such textbooks did not take into consideration the actual public speech performance by the learners, thereby lacking the assessment for the public speech capacity and public speech performance process of the students. Finally, lack of instruction for the actually performing public speech, for practicing and evaluation for such a process endangers the identity of speech education as a communication education by means of the spoken language. Thus, the present study suggests a method of analytical assessment for the public speech performance process, since we need both instruction and assessment for the public speech process.
