오늘날 빈번하게 마주치는 명사합성어의 다양한 의미적 경향은 결합기술과 의미해석의 엄밀화를 통한 종래의 형식주의적 접근만으로는 온전히 다루기 어려운 상황이 되었다. 특히 합성어의 의미해석을 다루는데 있어서 형식의미론으로 지칭되는 외재론적 형식주의는 두뇌의 역할이라는 내적 장치를 염두에 둔 내재론적 인지주의를 새롭게 고찰할 필요가 있다. 여기서는 즉흥조어의 의미해석을 위해 의미를 개념으로 재구성하는 문제와 형식의미론적 의미해석이 명사합성어 해석에서 초래하는 합성성분 사이의 관계와 변항의 결속에 대한 문제를 고찰하였다. 이 과정에서 특히 간결표현을 일종의 인지적 산출원리로 지니는 즉흥조어의 이해을 위해 사회문화적 지식과 같은 온갖 비언어적 맥락지식의 필요성이 제기되었다. 따라서 맥락의존적 즉흥조어의 의미해석을 위해서는 언어와 실질세계를 연결시키는 형식의미론적 방법론이 개념적 토대 위에 구축된 내재적 인지주의 방법론을 통해 보완될 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 의미적 표상에 개념구조를 단계적으로 적용함으로써 맥락지식적 내용을 채워나가는 방식의 즉흥조어 의미해석이 형식의미론적 의미해석에 맥락과 같은 비언어적 의미를 적용하려는 목적에 보다 부합한다고 보았다.
Abstract
Die Tendenz zu einer semantischen Vielfalt der Neulogismen ist zu einer Situation geworden, in der man mit dem traditionellen formalistischen Ansatz nicht richtig umgehen kann. Daher muss die formale semantische Theorie als externalistischer Formalismus die inneren konzeptuellen Befunde des internalistischen Ansatzes in Betracht ziehen, wenn es um die semantische Interpretation von Neulogismen geht. Hier habe ich über das Problem diskutiert, die Bedeutung der Okkasionalismen mit dem Konzept als ‘mental entities’ zu rekonstruieren, und das Problem der Bindung freier Variablen und der semantischen Relation von den Konstituenten der Okkasionalismen. Um die auf kognitiven Prinzipien beruhenden Okkasionalismen zu verstehen, sind außerlinguistische Informationen wie kontextuelles, sozialund kulturelles Wissen erforderlich. Um die Bedeutung von kontext-abhängigen Okkasionalismen zu interpretieren, muss der formale semantische Ansatz durch den kognitiven Ansatz ergänzt werden. So wurden die semantische Repräsentation und die konzeptuelle Struktur für die semantische Interpretation von Okkasionalismen schrittweise angewendet.
