스마트교육의 학습효과에 관한 탐색적 연구: 초등학교 교사와 학생들의 인식을 중심으로

본 연구는 스마트디바이스를 활용한 스마트교육에 대한 초등학교 교사와 학생의인식과 교육현황을 살펴보고 문제점과 더불어 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 부산에서 2011년부터 스마트교육 연구학교로 지정된 B초등학교 스마트 선도교사 및 수석교사 8명과 학생 15명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰와 서베이를 실시하였다. 그 결과 스마트교육의 특징 중 흥미, 자기주도학습, 풍부한 자료에서 긍정적인결과가 나타났으나, 인프라 구성 및 운영 관리, 다양한 콘텐츠 부재, 현실적이지 못한 교사 지원 및 스마트교육에 대한 그릇된 이해 등을 문제점으로 지적하였다. 이를 개선하여 한국형 스마트교육 콘텐츠 강화, 표준화된 콘텐츠 제공, 전국 교사간교수법 공유 및 자료 교환 공간을 제공해 주기를 제안했다. 또한 자체적으로 스마트교육 연수와 원로교사와의 교류 등은 물론 스마트교육에 대한 올바른 이해와 방향 설정을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 초등학교 교사 및 학생을 대상으로 한 스마트교육의 현황을 통해 일시적인 유행이 아닌 장기적인 미래 역량교육으로 나아가기 위한 기초자료가 될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study intends to investigate the awareness of elementaryteachers and students about the smart education using smart devicesand its current situation of education and to indicate problemsas well as suggesting the improvement plan. We conductedin-depth interview and survey on 8 smart guiding teachers andhead teachers and 15 students from B Elementary School whichhad been appointed as a smart education research school inBusan since 2011. As a result, motivated, self-directed, and resources-enriched elements showed positive result among characteristicsof the smart education, however, infra configuration, operationmanagement, absence of various contents, not practicalsupport for teachers, and understanding on the smart educationwere indicated as the problem. It was demanded to strengthen the Korean smart education contents, to develop standardized contents,and to supply space for teachers all over the country toshare and exchange the teaching method and teaching materials. Also, this study suggested correct understanding and a developmentplan regarding smart education such as the autonomoussmart education training in school and exchange with seniorteachers. The results of this study can be used as a base data indeveloping into the long-term future education, not just a merepassing trend, through the current situation of the smart educationfor elementary school teachers and students.
