언어지도 유형과 제작 기법의 변천(變遷)

Abstract

Although German G. Wenker made the linguistic map of Germany in 1881, the language scholar who offered new start to a dialectology development was J. Gillieron born in is Switzerland. He who is called the founder of the Geographical linguistics made France linguistic map-Atlas linguistique de la France, ALF- from 1902 to 1910. His work giving a dialect scholars of many countries the stimulus became the starting point of making new linguistic map. So, ALF of J. Gillieron is considered the new Paradigm of the dialectology. One century have passed since ALF was established by J. Gillieron. and at now, many kinds of manufactural methods are being developed, so we can find various types of linguistic map. From the manual thing at first to the thing applied by the computer recently, manufactural methods are developed considerably. I made a voice linguistic map and developed the method to make the linguistic map applied by the Geographical Information System(GIS). In this paper, I introduced the linguistic map made by various purposes up to now, and divided them into some types of the linguistic maps. I also introduced the Voice-linguistic maps applied by a voice system, and the GIS-linguistic maps with geographical information system(GIS). Because the development of linguistic map did not exist after J. Gillieron, I believe that there will be new start of the geographical linguistics. We must grasp better and use suitably the new linguistic map introduced in this paper.
