Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the concept distributions in Korean words based on lexical semantic network and to establish a basis on conceptual map of Korean words (nouns, verbs, and adjectives). The conceptual map, once constructed, will provide us with a systematic way to investigate the details of Korean lexical semantic network. The study presents concept distributions in each level of the semantic network with respect to nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Based on these results, the accumulated concept distributions, which serve as the core element for constructing the conceptual map in Korean, were produced. The study also covers a cross comparison on concept distributions between nouns, verbs, and adjectives
