심리기술훈련이 장애인 사격선수의 심리기술 및 사격기록에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 장애인 사격선수들을 대상으로 심리기술훈련을 실시하여 그 효과를 검증함으로써, 장애인 사격선수들의 심리기술 및 기록 향상에 기초자료를 제공하고자 시작되었다. 이 연구대상은 올림픽을 준비하고 있는 장애인 사격 선수 5명(여자 3명, 남자 2명)으로 선정하였다. 이 연구의 측정도구로는 체육과학연구원에서 국가대표 선수들을 위해 활용되는 심리 기술 검사지(Athletic Coping Skills Inventory-28), 장애인 사격선수들의 시합 기록, 심리기술훈련 프로그램 평가 질문지를 사용하였다. 사전측정에서 지도자와 연구대상자의 면담, 심리 검사자료를 분석한 결과 올림픽에 대한 압박감 및 걱정, 경기에 대한 불안 및 주의집중에 대한 문제가 탐색되었다. 이에 선행연구와 공동연구자, 전문가 의견 등을 바탕으로 올림픽을 앞두고 있는 선수가 시합에서 최고수행을 발휘하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 훈련일지 쓰기훈련, 이완훈련 및 최적 각성 수준 찾기 훈련, 심상훈련, 자화훈련으로 구성된 심리기술훈련 프로그램을 총 6회기 동안 실시하였다. 이 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심리기술훈련은 사전단계에서 장애인 사격선수들의 문제점으로 지적되었던 4개의 하위 요인인 각성조절, 압박감 해소, 걱정, 주의집중을 긍정적으로 변화시킨 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 심리기술훈련은 장애인 사격 선수의 기록 변화에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개방형질문지 분석결과 연구대상자들은 심리기술훈련 프로그램에 대한 필요성을 인식하고 있고 경기력에도 도움이 된다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of psychological skills training on psychological skills of five Korea national shooting athletes with disabilities. Subjects have been exposed to 6 sessions of 4 different psychological skills training programs (writing practice training diary, relaxation training, image training, and self-talk training). The effectiveness of psychological skills training has been evaluated with Athletic Coping Skills Inventory-28, open-ended questionnaires, and shooting score during competition. The result was that psychological skills training had improved coping with adversity, peaking under pressure, and concentration and reduced worry of disabled shooting athlete. The result implies that psychological skills training could be a effective strategy for improvement of psychological skills as well as shooting performance of Korea national shooting athletes with disabilities.
