본 고에서는 김수영의 시론에 나타나고 있는 반복의 미학을 키에르케고르 철학과의 관련 속에 고찰하고 그 특징을 규명하였다. 김수영은 시에서 순간을 드러내고 순간의 반복을 통해 미적 현대성을 구현하고자 하였다. 김수영은 시작 초기부터 정신적 반복에 관심을 두었는데, 시인을 반복의 운동을 이어가는 이행의 주체로 내세운 것도 여기서 비롯한다. 또한 그는 비약을 통한 이행의 반복을 모색하고 예외의 반복을 추구하였다. 김수영은 「멋」에서 비트의 미학을 새롭게 해석하고 여기서 현대시의 방향을 도출하였는데 그것은 현대성, 의식, 겸손 등이었다. 이것은 그의 반복의 미학의 핵심 항목을 이루는 것이었다.
Abstract
Kim Soo-young (1921–1968) mastered the repetitive sound poem and aimed at the avant-garde literature styles of Dadaism and Bit, embracing the literature of the same ageand concentrating on its repetitive esthetics due to the influence of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. Kim valued repetition and related it deeply to his pursuit of Modernism. He strived to show the social issues of the day and materialize esthetical modernity through repetition of the moment in his poems. Kim became interested in mental repetition early on, understanding the need to examine and confront the traditional, hereditary, and habitual. He found poetry to be an effective outlet for doing this, and nominated poetry as his subject of becoming. Kim aimed for repetition of identity rather than creativeness while experimenting with repetitive writing. In his later works, he experimented with the power of the repetitive form of silence in poetics. Kim newly interpreted the esthetics of Bit in “Beauty” and altered the direction of modern poems on modernity, consciousness, and modesty. However, these were not different from the repetitive esthetics he emphasized.
