대만 한국어 학습자의 학습 동기 분석- 대만 실천대학교 「기초 한국어」 과목 이수자를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 Gardner와 Lambert의 통합적 동기와 도구적 동기 이론에 의거하여 대만 기초 단계의 한국어 학습자들의 한국어 학습 동기를 분류하고, 성별, 학년, 학습 경험 소속 학과 등의 학습자 변인에 따른 학습 동기의 차이를 분석해 보고자 대만 실천대학교 고웅 캠퍼스 교양 선택 「기초 한국어」과목을 이수하는 총 64명의 학부생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 검증 결과 응답자의 학습 동기는 한류 미디어 콘텐츠와 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학습자들의 한국 대중문화에 대한 관심과 이를 즐기기 위한 노력이 한국어 학습 동기를 유발하였고 한국어 학습을 시작하게 한 것으로 나타났다. 통합적 학습 동기는 성별, 학습 경험에 유의한 차이를, 도구적 동기는 학습 경험에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였으나 학년은 두 동기 모두 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 소속 학과에 따른 학습 동기는 두 동기 모두 유의한 차이를 나타냈으나, 동질성 검사에서 빈도가 1인 3개 학과를 제외한 검증값이라 사후검증은 진행되지 않았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the students' motivation for learning Korean as a Foreign language. Based on Gardner and Lambert's theory of integrative motivation and instrumental motivation, this study conducted a survey of 64 students who were taking 「Basic Korean」 GE class at Taiwan Shih Chien University Kaohsiung Campus. As a result of the survey, the respondents' learning motivation was closely related to Hallyu media contents, that is, most of students' interest in Korean pop culture and efforts to enjoy it motivated them to learn Korean and start learning Korean. And the integrated learning motivation showed significant differences in gender and learning experience, and the instrumental motivation showed a significant difference in learning experience, but the grade did not have a statistically significant impact on the two motivations. Although the learning motivation according to the department to which it belongs showed a significant difference, the post-hoc test was not conducted because it was a verification value excluding three departments with a frequency of 1 in the ANOVA test for equal variance.
