『일암집(一庵集)』 소재(所在) 기(記)의 편집 주체와 편집 양상에 관한 고찰

Abstract

This study aims to identify the author of the nine records(記) included in 『IlAmJip(一庵集)』, a literary collection of Ilam(一庵) LeeGiJi(李器之, 1690–1722), to elucidate their editorial aspects, and to reassess their literary significance. 『IlAmJip』 contains nine Gi: <YuYeoSanGi(遊閭山記)>, <GamNoAmJeMyeongGi(甘露菴題名記)>, <YuBanSanGi(遊盤山記)>, <YuGyeongDoGi (遊瓊島記)>, <SeoYangHwaGi(西洋畵記)>, <HonUiGi(渾儀記)>, <DeungToASanGi (登兎兒山記)>, <GyeMunYeonSuGi(薊門煙樹記)>, and <SimSaHoSeokGi(尋射虎石記)>. These nine records were transcribed from『IlAmYeonGi(一庵燕記)』, Yi Gi-ji's travel journal. To date, scholars have generally attributed the editorial compilation of these works in Ilamjip to IlAm’s son, Yi Bong-sang. However, this assumption has limited a proper evaluation of the nine records' literary significance. This study challenges this prevailing view, arguing that this perspective has hindered the proper recognition of the nine records' significance. By conducting a meticulous comparison between the contents of 『IlAmYeonGi』 and the corresponding records in 『IlAmJip』, this study reveals that LeeGiJi himself was the compiler and editor of these texts. Moreover, it uncovers temporal and spatial editing processes during the transition from 『IlAmYeonGi』 to 『IlAmJip』, which imparted a narrative-style(紀事體) character to the records. Lastly, this study examines the influence of these nine records on later travelogues(燕行錄), emphasizing the need to reassess their literary-historical significance within the context of 『IlAmJip』.
