인터넷 通信 表記에 대한 旣存의 硏究는 거의 醇化論의 관점에 치우쳐있다. 이 논문은 그러한 관점과는 反對의 시각에서 資料에 接近하였다. ‘틀리지 않는 표기’가 무엇인지 찾아내고, 表記者들의 머릿속에 뿌리깊게 박혀 있는 표기 원리가 무엇인지 알아내고자 하는 것이다. 이 논문에서는 連綴과 分綴, 音節末 ‘ㅅ’ 表記 및 硬音化, 有氣音化와 ‘ㅎ’ 脫落, 鼻音化, 調音位置同化, 破擦音 뒤 上向二重母音의 表記 등을 통해 通信 言語가 전반적으로는 形態素를 固定시켜 표기하려는 노력을 하고 있음을 밝혀내었다. 그리고 이 논문에서는 이러한 通信 表記를 近代國語나 開化期國語의 表記와 비교하였다. 근대국어나 개화기국어의 경우 中世國語 이후 새로운 表記法이 제정되지 않은 過渡期의 상황이었고, 인터넷 통신 언어도 새로운 媒體가 탄생하였지만 거기에 合當한 表記 規範이 자리 잡지 못한 過渡期의 狀況이라는 공통점이 있기 때문이다.
Abstract
Conservative Orthography in the Internet Mediated Communication Kim, Seong-kyu This study aims to find orthographic rules governing the Internet mediated communication. In this communication, usually we observe orthographic rules. But only when we write down the words of high frequency, we are apt to write them in spoken forms(but not always). Internet chatting is one of the new communicating system developed recently. So the writing pattern of it is not fixed yet. In this point we can compare it with the orthographies of 17C, 18C and 19C. Korean；periods having no strict orthographic rules.
