이 연구는 제8차 교육과정에 의한 교과서 개정 작업을 앞두고 향후 敎科書 단원 구성 방향을 摸索하는 데 목적이 있다.이를 위하여 普遍的으로 받아들여지고 있는 국어 교과서에 대한 觀點 중 네 가지에 대하여 문제를 제기하고, 좋은 국어 교과서가 갖추어야 할 여덟 가지 要件을 제시하였다. 以上의 논의에 근거하여 교과서 단원이 교육과정의 深層的 意圖를 반영할 것, 하나의 주제에 대하여 깊이 사고하고 실제적인 언어 경험을 할 수 있는 言語 活動 中心 單元 構成 方式을 취할 것, 교사와 학생의 相互作用을 活性化할 수 있도록 교과서 체제를 교사용지도서와 相補的 關係를 맺는 방식으로 구성할 것, 학습자를 정서적, 인지적으로 支援하는 요소를 설정할 것, 문학 텍스트를 중심으로 凡敎科的인 내용을 담은 텍스트를 고루 選定할 것 등을 提案하였다.
Abstract
This study aims at seeking the direction in which the units of a textbook will be formed hereafter with its revision by the 8th curriculum ahead. For that, it raised some questions about four among the universally accepted viewpoints about a Korean textbook, and presented eight requirements essential to a good Korean textbook. Based on the above discussion it suggested that the units of a textbook should reflect the in-depth intention of the curriculum, that they should be formed centering on subjects to secure general verbal activity, that they should be formed in the system in a complementary relation with a teacher's guide to revitalize the interaction between a teacher and students, that the elements should be set up which support learners emotionally and cognitively, and that the texts with subject-wide contents should be evenly selected centering on a literary text.
