Abstract

This thesis investigated entire character of Kweunyongsungjun(권용성전). On this thesis, I cleared versions, character, version differentiation, meaning of novel history on Kweunyongsungjun. On Kweunyongsungjun, hero ruined by calumny of villainous retainers. But the hero rescued king and nation through war. As a result, the hero accomplished revenge and families restoration. Accordingly, Kweunyongsungjun is hero novel. And it is Yuchoungreuljun(유충렬전) type among hero novel. But Kweunyongsungjun emphasized loyalist character, positive woman character, common people‘s consciousness. Kweunyongsungjun different to Yuchoungreuljun type because of them. A version of Kweunyongsungjun divided two series. The one is ‘Kukdo a version‘(국도a본) series, the other is ‘Kodae version‘(고대본) series. The former emphasized revenge consciousness and critique on king through two heros, the latter emphasized war interesting. And it become weakened revenge consciousness than Kukdo a version. And it excluded critique on king. A enjoyment classes of Kukdo a version is sensitive class on families ruin. And they make a expression hostile feeling on king. The other side, a enjoyment classes of Kodae version series uncertained critique on king. The version differentiation of Kweunyongsungjun indi- cates that enjoyment classes of ancient novel possessed very dynamic enjoyment consciousness.
