이 硏究의 目的은 意思疏通 過程에서 表現하고 解釋하는 데 작용하는 요소를 프레임 이론을 통해 살펴보고자 하는 데 있다. 즉 의사소통에 작용하는 요소의양상에 대한 연구가 부족한 점을 프레임 이론을 통해 補完하고자 하며 이 연구는 화자와 청자 그리고 메시지 각각의 프레임이 적용되어 의사소통 과정에 작용함을 보이고자 한 것이다. 화자의 발화는 언제나 有目的的인데, 目的性을 발현해 내는 메시지를 구성하는 방식에도, 화자가 發話를 실현하고자 하는 의도에도 프레임은 작용하게 된다. 또한 이렇게 發話된 메시지를 해석하는 청자의 해석 과정에 있어서 화자의 것을 그대로 받아들이지 않고 청자의 프레임에 맞추어 해석하게 되는 것이다. 이러한 과정을 이해하는 것은 意思疏通의 策略性을 면밀히 연구하는 데 있어 기초적인 작업이 될 것이며 이를 통해 각 프레임의 양상을 구체화함으로써 戰略的 意思疏通의 과정을 밝혀 낼 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to research the factors in a communi- cation process by Frame Theory. This study is different from existing studies in that it tries to give shape to communication processes using Frame Theory. Our research shows that ‘frames’ are applied to the speaker, the listener, and the message while communication takes place. All communications have purposes. When people communicate with someone, they try to convey their purpose to others. Consequently, speaker’s frames are applied to messages, which specify the purpose of the communication. Also, listener’s frames are used in the listener’s interpretation process. Understanding this framing process will be the foundation for studying the strategy for communication in detail. By incorporating various aspects of framing, we can clarify the process of strategic communication.
