金起林 詩에 나타난 近代性에 대한 視線

Abstract

This paper focused on the describing methods of Kim Girim for the modern place, the moving form of this sightline. One of the constructing forms of sightline, showed in his earlier poetry, is building the omniscient and contemplative sightline. The attempts, securing objective and overall sight to the poetic object and place not showing the inner features of poetic subject, is related with his try to exclude sentimentality in his poetry. The world travel as an idea is an exhibitory method to list the images of places not a definite experience on the places and objects. By the way, in the view point, assimilated in 'the display of the empire', thinking the self-contradiction of colony modernity was impossible. Therefore, sensible devotion on the exhibitory places in his poetry was required for critical intervention to it. In his other poetry, the devotion to the subject of sightline on the places contributes to making sense more delicate through physical contact. Using the exhibitory sightline created by the bystanders on the spectacle of the empire, it makes the sightline into the critical and satirical aesthetics to the bystanders and the spectacle of the empire. It overcomes the exhibitory sightline as a trans- parent bystander and describes the street objects in the questions on his own political place. This is the problem of self-examination.
