<紅白花傳>에 미친 <嬌紅記>의 影響에 대한 考察

元나라 때 창작된 傳奇小說 <嬌紅記>는 16세기 초 우리나라에 들어와 널리 읽혔는데, <紅白花傳>은 여러 면에서 <嬌紅記>의 영향으로 창작되었을 것으로 보인다. 우선 <紅白花傳>에는 <嬌紅記>에 등장하는 申純과 王嬌娘에 대한 직접적인 언급이 있다. 또한 사랑하는 男女가 <嬌紅記>처럼 姨從四寸 사이로 설정되어 있다. 이밖에도 남녀주인공이 만나는 場面敍述, 科擧에 落榜한 桂冬榮에 대한 서술로 시작되는 序頭 등에서 <紅白花傳>과 <嬌紅記>의 영향관계가 感知된다. 그러나 <紅白花傳>의 作者는 <嬌紅記>의 逸脫的 사랑에 대해 否定的 視角을 드러내면서, 荀織素와 桂一枝의 관계를 知己의 信義로 그리고 있다. 또한 出世하지 못한 桂冬榮과 출세한 荀景華의 갈등을 부각시키고 있다는 점에서 <嬌紅記>와는 差異가 있다. 이는 현실에서 출세하지 못한 작자의 自意識이 작용한 결과가 아닌가 한다.
Abstract
This study is on the influence of the JiaoHongJi on the korean novel HongbeakwhaJeon(紅白花傳) which was written in before 1744. JiaoHongJi is the romance of Yuan, and the hero and heroine of the novel are cousins on the mother's side. These relationship is rare in other chinese and korean novels, but HongbeakwhaJeon has the same hero and heroine who are cousins on the mother's side. All the more hero and heroine of JiaoHongJi is mentioned in the HongbeakwhaJeon. The similarity of the two novels appear in the other points. The dialogue of Sun Jikso and Gye Ilji reminds us the dialogue of Wang Jiaoniang and her cousin Shen Chun of JiaoHongJi. And the beginning of the HongbeakwhaJeon, we can find the man who had failed the civil service examination and given up the life as government official. He is alike the hero of JiaoHongJi. The charater of Juhyeyup(蕙葉) who is concubine of the heroines's father also is presumed the variation of feihong(飛紅). However HongbeakwhaJeon's writer didn't write the imitation of JiaoHongJi, but rater he is critical reader of JiaoHongJi. In JiaoHongJi Wang Jiaoniang had an affair with Shen Chun, but Sun Jikso and Gye Ilji suppress their passions, so their relationship looks like friendship. I think this is because the writer of HongbeakwhaJeon has the tendency to show his talent and has the sense of identity as a intellect, so he did not want to writer vulgar novel.
