본고는 隱喩와 그 類似 比喩들(直喩, 換喩, 提喩, 알레고리, 象徵)의 作動 원리와 그 脈絡的 해석의 가능성을 시교육 차원에서 접근해보고자 했다. 이를 위해 작동 원리에 초점을 맞춰 은유의 특성을 살펴본 후, 은유와 그 유사 비유들과의 상관관계를 이론적으로 정리했다. 은유는 同時的으로 기능하고 맥락적으로 작용하고 심층적으로 내재한다. 그러한 은유의 다채로운 의미화 양상을 부각시키기 위해서, 꽃을 제재로 한 한국 현대시를 대표하는 작품들을 선택해 각각의 시 텍스트에 내재된 비유의 주된 작동 원리를 도출해냈다. 金春洙의 「꽃」에서는 은유의 작동 원리와 은유화 과정을, 金素月의 「山有花」에서는 제유의 작동 원리와 具顯 양상을, 徐廷柱의 「꽃밭의 獨白 -娑蘇 斷章」에서는 은유와 환유가 變奏되는 양상을, 金洙暎의 「꽃잎(二)」에서는 은유와 그 유사 비유들의 다채로운 交織 양상을 살펴보았다. 이러한 양상은 곧 ‘은유의 해석방법론’에서 출발해 ‘대학생을 위한 은유의 교육방법론’을 모색하기 위한 대표적인 은유 양상들의 교육적 模型이라 할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study is an attempt to approach from the perspective of the poetical education to the operative principles and contextual interpretabilities of metaphor and its resemblant figures(simile, metonymy, synecdoche, allegory, and symbol). In this attempt, metaphor is defined on the focus of its operative principle, and there are theoretical arrangements of the correlations between metaphor and its resemblant figures. To highlight the various modes of signification of metaphor that functions synchronously and operates contextually and subsists deeply in itself, the selected poems in this study have been famous among the poems that had made flowers their themes. The results of these highlights are the operative principle of metaphor and the metaphoricalization in the poem “Flower” of Kim Chun-Su, the operative principle of synecdoche and the mode of concretizing it in the poem “Wild Flower on the Mountains” of Kim So-Wol, the modes of varying metaphor and metonymy in the poem “A Soliloquy in a Flower Garden: a Lyric Fragment of SaSo” of Seo Jeong-Ju, and the various modes of weaving metaphor and its resemblant figures in the poem “Petal(II)” of Kim Su-Yeong. These are to be models that have been derived for the poetical education of metaphors in the Korean modern poetry.
