중국 語文 교과의 成語 교육 현황 및 국어과 한자성어 교육에의 시사점 : 교육과정과 대입 시험 평가 문항의 분석을 중심으로

Abstract

This study aims to critically review the current status of Sino-korean idioms education in Korean language, one of the school subjects, and a representative reference case in China, and then suggest a new direction for teaching and learning Sino-Korean idioms in Korean language education. First, we analyzed the contents related to Chinese character idioms by focusing on the Korean curriculum and the college entrance exam evaluation to understand the current status. Then we analyzed the recent curriculum and college entrance exam evaluation for Chinese language subjects. The results are as follows. First, Chinese character idioms directly related to Chinese traditional culture and values, are highly valued as crucial educational content. This is because the Chinese language curriculum emphasizes ‘cultural confidence’ as a sub-elements related to core literacy. Chinese character idioms have also been stably evaluated for a long time in the language section of the Chinese college entrance exam. Second, the most relevant questions were from the ‘Language Character Application’ area, and the detailed evaluation elements were distributed in various ways, such as pronunciation, expression, meaning, source and citation, and usage. This is due to a multi-faceted and three-dimensional approach to Chinese character idioms. Third, The analysis results of the item types as follows. Representative examples were analyzed in detail in the order of basic knowledge-related item, contextual knowledge-related item, and utilized knowledge-related item. Lastly, a review of the latest type, the integrated item, has also been added. Based on the results, the following suggestions have been made. First, we must objectively recognize that Sino-Korean idioms, along with idiomatic expressions of native words, still play a unique role in Korean language expression and understanding activities in the Korean language community. Second, we must provide sufficient systematic educational content on Sino-Korean idioms. Third, we must actively consider the value of Sino-Korean idioms as an educational content element that reveals the unique aspects of the Korean language and culture.
