본고는 차기 교육과정 개정에 대비하고 새로운 한문 교육의 방향을 모색해 보기 위해 한자 및 한자 어휘 교육의 현황과 향후 과제를 살펴보았다. 우선 학교 현장에서 실시되고 있는 한자 및 한자 어휘 교육의 현황을 점검하기 위해서 교육과정의 목표 및 내용 체계를 분석하여 교육과정에서 이들이 차지하는 위상을 확인하였다. 검토 결과 한자 및 한자 어휘 교육에 대한 비중은 2007 개정 교육과정 때 감소되었다가 2009 개정 교육과정과 2015 개정 교육과정을 거치면서 점점 강화되고 있는 추세를 보였으며, 이에 대한 연구 성과 또한 활발히 이루어지고 있었다. 다음으로 한자 및 한자 어휘 교육의 과제를 살펴보았는데, 핵심은 한문 교육을 둘러싼 대내외적 환경 변화를 반영하여 교육과정의 변화를 꾀하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 중․고등학교 한문 과목에서 다루고 있는 내용을 한자, 한자 어휘, 단문, 산문, 한시로 구분하고, 학교급별로 어떻게 위계화 하는 것이 바람직한지를 구상해 보았으며, 제안한 교육과정 체제가 실제 구현되기 위해 필요한 선결 과제들을 살펴보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to prepare for new Chinese educational directions of Chinese character and Chinese character vocabulary at the next term revise curriculum. In order to check the status of Chinese character and Chinese character vocabulary education, curriculum goal and system of content were analyzed to confirm their status in the Chinese curriculum. As a result, the proportion of Chinese character and Chinese character vocabulary education was decreased in the 2007 revision curriculum. However, it has been gradually increased through the 2009, 2015 revised curriculum. Also, the key point of Chinese character and Chinese character vocabulary in Chinese education, Chinese provide for changes in curriculum to reflect changes both inside and outside of the education environment. The article concludes with a discussion of the secondary school Chinese subject about Chinese character, Chinese character vocabulary, a short sentence, prose, Chinese poem and hierarchic of school class in Chinese curriculum.
