아동성장서사에 나타난 ‘성장’의 의미 분석 -「수일이와 수일이」를 중심으로-

이 연구의 목적은 「수일이와 수일이」 중심으로 아동성장서사에나타난 성장의 의미를 살피는 데에 있다. 성장은 인물들이 사건을해결해 나가는 과정 중에 자아와 타자, 세계가 맺는 복합적인 ‘관계’ 속에 이루어지므로 등장인물과 의미 관계를 중심으로 서사체의 구조를분석하는 기호학적 모델을 사용하여 성장의 의미를 살펴볼 수 있다. 수일이의 ‘성장’은 자신의 욕망을 추구하는 과정에서 겪는 시련들을점차 주체적으로 극복해 나가는 과정 중에 있으며, 주체가 추구하는대상의 변화, 결정권자로의 주체의 변화, 조력자 및 반대자의 변화가나타난다. 작중인물들과 수일이와의 관계는 수일이가 하는 성장을자극하는 계기가 되어 인물의 성장을 역동적으로 이끌고 있다. 아동성장서사 속 성장의 의미는 ‘타인과의 관계를 통한 주체로서의변화’로 분석할 수 있다. 아울러 동일 모티프의 서사 비교를 통해인물들의 관계와 상황이 인물의 바람직한 성장에 있어 결정적인 요소임을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of growth in children’s growth narratives with the focus on 「Suil and Suil」. Growth took place in the complex of ‘relationship’ between self, Since it took place in the complex ‘relationship’ of the world, the meaning of growth can be examined using a semiotic model that analyzes the structure of the narrative centering on the characters and the semantic relationship. As a result, Suil’s ‘growth’ is in the process of gradually overcoming the trials and tribulations experienced in the process of pursuing one’s own desires, And also, the change of the object pursued by the subject, the change of the subject into the decision maker, and the change of the helpers and opponents appear. The relationship between the characters and Soo-il is an opportunity to stimulate the growth of Soo-il and dynamically lead the growth of the character. The meaning of growth in the children’s growth narrative can be analyzed as ‘change as a subject through relationships with others’. In addition, by comparing the narratives of the same motif, it can be seen that the relationships and situations of the characters are decisive factors in the desirable growth of the characters.
