자기회귀교차지연 모형을 통한행복과 창의성의 종단적 인과관계와 성별에 따른 차이 분석

초록

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 행복과 창의성 간 시간적 흐름에 따른 관계를 자기회귀교차지연 모델을 적용하여 검증하고 두 변인 간 인과적 관계를 추론하는데 있다. 서울특별시교육연구정보원의 교육정책연구소에서 실시하는 서울교육종단연구 자료 중 중1패널자료를 이용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 행복과 창의성은 시간의 경과에 따라 전년도 변인이 안정적으로 다음 해의 변인을 예측하는 특성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 행복은 창의성을 유의하게 예측하였으며, 창의성도 행복을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 행복과 창의성 간의 관계에 있어 성별에 따른 차이는 확인되지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과는 행복과 창의성이 서로 정적인 영향을 미치는 변인이라는 것을 나타내며, 행복교육과 창의인성교육이 별개의 교육이 아니라 함께 논의되어야 하는 교육적 접근임을 보여준다. 청소년의 행복을 증진하기 위한 여러 방안 중 하나로 창의성 증진을 고려해볼 수 있으며, 마찬가지로 창의성을 증진하기 위한 방안 중 하나로 청소년 행복 증진을 고려해보아야 할 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between happiness and creativity by utilizing the autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. The data were drawn from the middle school students panel of Seoul Education Longitudinal Study (SELS) that were implemented by the Seoul Education Research & Information Institute (SERI). In results, both creativity and happiness showed stable autoregressive paths, which reflects its characteristics for predicting subsequent variables (i.e., creativity or happiness) by prior variables (i.e., creativity or happiness). In addition, happiness predicted creativity and also creativity predicted happiness. There were no gender differences in relations between happiness and creativity. These results suggest happiness and creativity have reciprocal relations. Moreover, the results reflect happiness education and creativity-personality eduction are not separate educational framework, but incorporable approaches in education. Educators and policy makers should consider that improvement in creativity can be a possible way to enhance adolescents’ happiness and vice versa.
