일반 초등학생과 ADHD성향 초등학생의 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준 비교조사

본 연구는 초등학생들의 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준을 알아보고, ADHD성향을 가진 아동들과 일반아동들이 이러한 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준에 있어 어떠한 차이를 나타내는지 조사하는데 그 목적이 있다. 서울, 인천, 경기지역 5개 초등학교 4-6학년 학생 총 1,112명(ADHD성향 아동 60명, 일반아동 1,052명)이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 분석된 결과에 의하면 연구대상아동들의 7.2%가 사이버폭력 가해, 13.2%가 사이버폭력 피해수준에 있어 위험 또는 매우 위험한 수준을 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 사이버폭력은 성별에 따라 다르게 나타났는데 남학생이 여학생들보다 사이버폭력 가해경험이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준은 학년이 올라감에 따라 증가하였으며 특히, 인터넷과 휴대폰 사용시간이 길수록 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. ADHD성향아동들과 일반아동들의 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해수준 차이를 분석한 바에 따르면 ADHD성향 아동들은 일반아동들에 비해 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해 경험이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, ADHD성향 아동들은 일반아동들과는 달리 친한 친구 수가 적을수록 사이버폭력 가해 및 피해를 더 많이 경험하는 것으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the cyber bullying/victimization experiences of the elementary school students and examine the difference between cyber bullying/victimization experiences of those students with and without ADHD symptoms. The subjects of the study were 1,112 4th to 6th grade students of five schools in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi educational regions(60 ADHD symptom children and 1,052 normal children). Results indicated that 7.2% and 13.2% of the students had serious cyber bullying and victimization experiences respectively. Male students tended to have more experiences of cyber bullying than female students. As the grade of students increased, their cyber bullying/victimization experiences also increased. Also, the longer students spent their time on Internet or cellular phone, the more they experienced cyber bullying/victimization. In terms of the difference between cyber bullying/victimization experiences of elementary school students with and without ADHD symptoms, students with ADHD symptom were more likely to experience cyber bullying/victimization than those without ADHD symptom. Particularly, students with ADHD symptom who had more number of close friends were less likely to experience cyber bullying/victimization than those without ADHD symptom.
