Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide the synthesis of a number of documents relating to the educational issues to suggest the effective educational strategies for students with Asperger Syndrome in the inclusive classroom settings. Literatures with keyword, such as Asperger syndrome, Autism spectrum disorders, High functioning autism were searched and analyzed on the characteristics, educational practices by the social skills, behavioral interventions, academic interventions. Inclusive educational strategies are suggested to use strategy for increasing engagement, peer interaction, collaboration, and considerations for instructional design. In conclusion, to implement the strategies in the classroom settings, several suggestions are mentioned: change in teacher preparation contents and methods, classroom-based intervention utilization, and evidence-based research cumulation using the effective educational methods in the classrooms.
