Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the longitudinal effect on relationship between a violation of school rules in early adolescent and interaction of intrusive parenting and positive relationship with a teacher. In order to accomplish this purpose, this study utilizes Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS), which is conducted by National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI), the analysis data were integrated for the six years(2010-2015) and the case numbers of the used data were 1,888 students. The findings of this study are following: First, adolescents breaching school regulations were decreasing linearly for six years. Second, students who have a positive relationship with teachers have a negative relation on violations of school rules. Third, intrusive parenting does not have a significant effect on a violation directly, but it does have influence on violating the school rules longitudinally as well as on disturbing the positive relationship with a teacher. Based on the result of the study, political and practical implications in families, schools, and communities are discussed.
