아동중심 놀이치료가 정서행동장애 위험 유아의 사회적응력에 미치는 효과에 대한 어머니와 교사의 인식비교

연구목적: 이 연구의 목적은 아동중심 놀이치료가 정서행동장애의 위험이 있는 유아의 사회적응력에 미치는 효과에 대한 어머니와 교사의 인식을 비교하고 그들의 평정에 차이가 있는지를 조사하는 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구에서는 1명의 4세 남아를 대상으로 약 9개월에 걸쳐 놀이치료를 실행하였다. 이 기간 동안 남아의 사회적응력의 변화를 측정하기 위해 ‘사회적 유능성과 행동평정 (Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation)’도구가 사용되었다. 어머니와 교사가 함께 놀이치료 중재 전, 중재 중, 중재 후, 그리고 유지단계까지 네 차례에 걸쳐 평가하였다. 연구 분석을 위해 맨 휘트니 U 검정 (Mann- Whitney U test)이 사용되었다. 연구결과: 연구의 결과는 아동중심 놀이치료가 유아 A 사회적응력 향상에 미치는 효과에 대한 어머니와 교사간의 유의한 인식의 차이가 확인되었다. 통계적으로 유의한 평정의 차이는 치료초기와 중기에 있었으나 이 차이는 치료후반기로 갈수록 개선되었다. 결론: 초기에 어머니와 교사 간 놀이치료의 효과에 대한 인식의 차이는 있었으나 정서행동장애의 위험이 유아에게 놀이치료가 영유아교육현장에서 사용된다면 유아의 성장에 유익이 될 것으로 보인다. 그리고 교육현장에서 어머니와 교사의 인식의 차이를 개선하기 위한 제안을 하였다.
Abstract
Purpose: The study was aimed to compare a mother’s and teacher’s awareness on the effects of child-centered play therapy on the social adjustment of an at-risk young child with emotional and behavior disorders and also to investigate if there are any rating differences between the mother and the teacher. Method: Play therapy was implemented for one 4-year-old boy for a duration of 9 months. Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation Preschool Edition was used to measure the child’s progress. The mother and the teacher rated 4 times (before, during, after the play therapy intervention, and maintenance). For data analysis, Mann-Whitney U test was used to investigate if there were any differences in the mother’s and the teachers’ ratings on the child’s social adjustment. Results: Different awareness on the effects of child-centered play therapy on social adjustment of young child A between the mother and the teacher was found. Significant differences in their ratings were found before and during the play therapy intervention, but no significant differences were found by the end of the therapy and maintenance period. Conclusion: Although the awareness difference regarding the effects of play therapy between the mother and the teacher existed at the beginning period, the usage of play therapy in an early childhood educational setting for an at-risk child with emotional/behavioral disorders would be beneficial. Ways to improve different awareness were suggested in the study.
