나카니시 이노스케(中西伊之助)와식민지 조선의 ‘프로문학’

Abstract

Nakanishi Inosuke(中西伊之助) is a Japanese author who is mentioned importantly in relation to the establishment of KAPF(Korea Artista Proleta Federatio) in the history of modern Korean literature. He was not only a prominent socialist activist in Japan, but also did have crucial influence upon the literary world in colonial Joseon through novels that addressed the reality of colonial Joseon such as 『Sprouting on Red Soil(赭土に芽ぐむもの)』, 『Behind You(汝等の背後より)』, 『Futei Senjin(不逞鮮人)』. The welcoming meeting of his visit to Joseon led to having integrated Yeomgunsa(焰群社) and PASKYULA associate(同人)s, resulting in having inaugurated KAPF. Thus, he is remembered as a sponsor(産婆役) of KAPF. However, the impact that Nakanishi Inosuke had on the colonial proletarian literature is not what ends in the one-time scene of a welcome party(歡迎會). Nakanishi Inosuke’s colony-related literature gave a strong shock to the intellects in Joseon, and contributed directly and indirectly even to the character of the new tendency group and proletarian literature works in colony. His influence was powerful enough to be used as the questionnaire item of inquiring into the category of Joseon literature in the Journal 『Samcheonri』 in the 1930s. Also, the episode of Tansil(彈實) Kim Myeong-sun with which he dealt as a material in 『Sprouting on Red Soil』 played a certain role even in the otherness of a woman(revival) in the colonial proletarian literature through having Kim Gi-jin as a medium. This study is aimed to contribute a little bit to the future research of Nakanishi Inosuke through reconstructing the traces of translation and acceptance on Nakanishi Inosuke that was not fully addressed in such previous research, while referring positively to the latest findings on the impact that Nakanishi Inosuke had on the colonial literary world.
