Abstract

In Silla, it is said that a memorial service for Palsa was held at the northern gate of Sinseong in Namsan Mountain, Gyeongju on the 12th day of the lunar calendar. These Palsaje are not unique rituals of Silla, but they were accepted by the Tang Dynasty during the reign of King Sinmun and when the dictionary was reorganized. However, the a memorial service for Palsa of Silla were different from those of China. First, in China, priests were held only when there was a good harvest, but not when there was a bad harvest. However, in Silla, Palsaje was held in both abundant and poor years. However, the offerings offered to the priest were different, but Daeroe was used in the rich year and Soroe was used in the poor year. It seems that the larvae here refer to cows, sheep, and pigs, and the torpedoes refer to sheep and pigs. However, no bones of sheep have been found among the bones of animals excavated from Silla-related relics, and records show that Silla sacrificed white horses and cattle, but there is no record of sacrificing pigs and sheep. Therefore, it seems that what was used as a sacrifice was the Nonparty pig, and perhaps Daerung refers to a cow and Sorung refers to a pig. In addition, considering that banwoo was sacrificed as a sacrifice at Geumseokmun Gate of Silla, such as Uljin Bongpyeong Sinrabi, it is thought that Daereu was Banwoo, or arrowroot, and Soroe was a pig. Second, in the Tang Dynasty's Jeonggwanrye, a priest was offered before the ritual, and in the opening ceremony, both the priest and the ritual were held on the day of the ritual. However, the fact that Silla does not show payment and only offers priests is different from China. In addition, the object of the ritual is a vaccine in China, but there is a difference in that it is an eight god in Silla. This is thought to be due to the fact that the priests accepted by Silla were closer to “yegi” than the etiquette of the Tang Dynasty, such as Jeong Gwan-rye and Gae Won-rye in China. Third, in the Samguk Sagi and Jaesaji, the Palsaje in December is written in the first order of agricultural and economic history. This is thought to have something to do with the traditional concept of the Silla people. In Korea, it can be seen that the lunar month, which is traditionally the delivery of the first lunar month, was not simply considered as the end of the year, but as an extension of the first lunar month. Silla also thought of the end of the year and the beginning of the year as an extension, and this is believed to be the reason why the Palsaje in December was placed in front of it. As such, the Palsaje of Silla was created when the preliminary system was established in Silla with the introduction of auspicious rites from the Tang Dynasty, but it seems that the influence of Silla culture created a difference in ritual methods from the Tang Dynasty.
