초록

본 연구의 목적은 중등학생의 감성지능이 학업소진 및 반사회적 경향성에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 파악하여 학교 및 사회에서의 능동적 학생 관리에 기초자료로 제공하고자 수행되었다. 연구대상은 충청북도 및 충청남도 소재 중등학교에 재학 중인 학생들로서 최종분석에는 381부의 자료가 활용되었다. 가설검증은 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감성지능의 하위 요인 중 감성활용, 자기감성인식, 타인감성인식이 학업소진의 무능감에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 자기감성인식과 감성활용은 학업소진의 냉담에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 감성지능의 하위 요인 중 감성조절만이 반사회적 경향성의 신체공격성에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 감성조절과 감성활용은 반사회적 경향성의 분노감에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 감성조절과 감성활용은 반사회적 경향성의 언어적 경향성에 각각 정(+), 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 학업소진의 하위 요인 중 무능감과 고갈이 반사회적 경향성의 신체공격성에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 무능감만이 반사회적 경향성의 분노감 및 언어적 경향성에 각각 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과는 학교 현장에서 학생들의 감성지능을 높일 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 도입하고, 학업소진에서 벗어나게 하는 전략적 대안을 통해 반사회적 경향성을 감소시켜야 함을 시사해 준다.

Abstract

This study aimed to empirically identify the effect of secondary school students’ emotional intelligence on study burnout and antisocial tendencies to offer basic data for proactive student management in school and society. Toward this end, the study targeted students attending in secondary schools located in Chungcheonbuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do, and the final analysis used 381 data. The regressive analysis was used to verify the study’s hypothesis, the result of which were as follows: first, among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence, application of emotion, awareness of one’s own emotion, and awareness of others’ emotion had a negative effect on the sense of inadequacy due to study burnout. In addition, awareness of one’s own emotion and application of emotion had a negative effect on indifference due to study burnout. However, depletion due to study burnout was not significantly affected by any of the sub-factors of emotional intelligence; second, only emotional control among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence had a negative effect on physical aggressiveness among antisocial tendencies. Additionally, emotional control and application of emotion had a negative effect on the sense of anger among the antisocial tendencies. Furthermore, the former had a positive effect, and the latter had a negative effect on the linguistic tendency among the antisocial tendencies; finally, third, the sense of inadequacy and depletion among the sub-factors of study burnout had a positive effect on physical aggressiveness among the antisocial tendencies. Moreover, only the sense of inadequacy had a positive effect on the sense of anger and linguistic tendency among the antisocial tendencies. Such a result as this has an implication that, in the schools, it is necessary to reduce the anti-social tendency by introducing various programs to enhance the emotional intelligence and provide a strategic alternative to relief them from academic exhaustion.
