유해환경에 대한 청소년의 자정능력 향상방안 : 적응유연성을 중심으로

초록

청소년유해환경은 분명 청소년들의 성장을 저해하고 인권을 침해하는 것으로 억제되고 차단되어야 마땅할 것이다. 유해업소나 유해매체, 유해약물, 유해성인으로 대표되는 유해환경보다 더 심각한 것은 청소년의 미시체계적 맥락에 포함된 가정과 부모, 또래, 학교 등의 학대와 무관심, 폭력과 따돌림, 편견과 무시 등일 것이다. 청소년의 성장에 지장을 주는 유해요인 모두를 제거한다는 것은 현실적으로 매우 어려우며, 심지어 불가능에 가깝다. 유해요인이 청소년의 위험행동에 영향을 주는 위험요인으로 작용한다고 보았을 때, 위험요인의 제거와 차단보다 교육적인 차원에서 더 가치있는 것은 위험요인의 부정적 영향을 상쇄시키고 완충하는 보호요인을 탐색하여 이를 처치하는 것일 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 유해환경에 대한 청소년의 자정능력 향상 방안으로써 보호요인들을 탐색해 보고, 이를 통해 위험행동 개입을 감소시킴은 물론이고 적응유연성 및 긍정적 발달을 촉진시킬 수 있는 구체적인 방법들을 제시하고자 한다. 청소년의 위험행동은 그 자체가 문제행동이나 비행은 아니며, 보호요인의 조절효과가 작용할 경우 위험행동의 긍정적인 기능 즉, 적응유연성을 향상시켜 줄 것이다. 이와 같은 가정에 기초하여 본 연구에서는 청소년 유해환경에 대한 대안적인 해석과 함께 위험행동에 영향을 주는 요인들을 분석해 보고, 대표적인 보호요인들의 경험적 효과를 제시하고자 한다. 이는 청소년유해환경에 대해 사법과 행정에만 의존하는대책에서 벗어나 긍정적 발달을 촉진시킬 수 있는 교육적인 대처방안을 제시하고자 하는 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the coping methods of adolescents on a harmful environment including a business center, media, drug, as well, ecological context as family, school, peer, and community. The basic assumptions are to develop self-improvement abilities of adolescents about harmful environment as reinforce a protective factors as not remove a risk factors influencing risk behavior. Protective factors as such a positive coping strategies, a self-efficacy, a monitoring and controlling of parent, a communication with parent, a positive perception on school, and a friendly peer relation have a function that buffering the negative influence of risk factors and facilitating the resilience of adolescents. Adolescents are influenced by more protective factors do a fewer risk behavior, and transfer this risk behavior to social functioning. These will do the positive coping to harmful environment in their ecological contexts. As well, the effort for exploration and treatment these protective factors have higher educational value, and facilitate the positive development of adolescents. And this attempt will have better effects than a harmful environment policies depending on the administration and the justice.
