청소년들의 심리내적 위험요인과 문제행동의 관계: 환경적 보호요인의 매개효과검증

본 연구는 위험-보호요인의 매개모델에 입각해 개인 심리내적인 위험요인과 청소년의 문제행동 간에 가족 및 학교 관련한 환경적 보호요인의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 개인 심리내적인 위험요인으로 우울, 공격성 및 충동성, 부정적 자존감을, 환경적 보호요인으로 부모-자녀와의 긍정적 관계, 가족의 지지를 포함하는 가족관련 보호요인과 학교에 대한 흥미, 학업에 대한 태도, 교사의 관심 및 지지를 학교관련 보호요인으로 설정하였다. 연구대상은 중학생 564명(58%), 고등학생 408명(42%)의 총 972명으로 개인 심리내적인 위험요인과 가족 및 학교관련 보호요인, 그리고 청소년 문제행동을 측정하였고 이들 간의 관계를 부분매개모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 설정된 모형의 적합도가 양호한 것으로 나타났고, 가족 및 학교관련 환경적 보호요인들에 의해 개인 심리내적인 위험요인의 부정적인 영향이 감소되어 청소년의 문제행동에 연계되고 있음이 확인되었다. 주요어 : 문제행동, 위험요인, 보호요인

Abstract

This study was intended to validate a model that was founded on the paradigm of risk-protective factor mediation. This model contains the environmental protective factors related to family and school mediating individual psychological risk factors and problem behaviors. Individual psychological risk factors consist of depression, aggression, impulsiveness and negative self-esteem. As for the environmental factors, the family protective factors include the positive parent-children relationship and support from family, and the school protective factors comprise the interest in school, the attitude of study, the concern and support from a teacher. The scales of individual psychological risk factors, protective factors of family and school, and problem behaviors of youths were administered to 972 youths from middle school (564) and high school (408). The data were analyzed using the model of structural equation. The result showed that the fitness of established model was reasonable, and that, while mediating, the environmental protective factors related to family and school worked as a buffering factor, reducing the influence of individual psychological risk factors on the problem behaviors.
