이 글은 중국에서의 시조 연구 현황을 검토하고 그 성과와 의미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 중국인 연구자가 중국의 한국학계에 제출한 연구 결과를 논의의 대상으로 삼아, 먼저 시조 논저 목록과 연구자 현황을 살핀다. 그런 다음 쟁점별로 연구사를 검토하였다. 쟁점으로는 다음 다섯 가지로 정리하였다. 시조의 형식과 기원, 언어 표현, 시조의 주제 사상, 개별 작품론, 시조와 중국 시가 비교가 그것이다. 끝으로 중국에서의 시조 연구가 지닌 성과를 살펴보고 앞으로의 과제를 전망하였다.
Abstract
This paper attempts to evaluate the current state of study of Sijo in China, along with its many ramifications and implications. The research was based on results submitted by Chinese researchers and academics. First, the archive of all academic papers and books published in China has been surveyed, followed by an overview of the controversial history of Sijo research and the origin of Sijo form, expression, subject, and idea. This is supplemented by a discussion of individual works, and a comparative analysis of Sijo and Chinese poetry. Finally, the paper discusses the results of Sijo study in China, and makes note of future enterprise.
