淵民先生의 ‘法古創新’論이 學界에 미친 影響 및 그 餘波

Abstract

This thesis is about how Yienam[燕巖]'s opinion is reviving in these days after Yienam's opinion, review the old and learn the new, introduced to academic world by Yienmin[淵民]. It is interesting that the word, review the old and learn the new, is respected in these days, but when Yienam said this word, he worried about those times' literature that he said this word can not be followed. Moreover, even though this word is not related to Yienam anymore, this word effects the development of society and culture in positive way. It is also an interesting point that the word which has an upset meaning is using in this world and this because Yienmin recognized compressed meaning as a real meaning. We think that a scholar's task is explaining difficult own and finding new own to relate past and present, and we can see an example through Yienmin's work of introducing Yienam's separate ideas of reviewing the old and learning the new as one concept. The word, review the old and learn the new, is Yienam's wisdom that can point out the problems of society and the result of Yienmin's pioneerical study, and provides a theoretical basement of society and culture as a native phrase in our country which is creating present culture. In this point even though Yun-am's contribution was large, Yienmin's academical feat as large as Yunam's.
