Abstract
This study introduces a interdisciplinary study method revealed in the Anthropocene discourses of Dipesh Chakrabarty, Jussi Parikka and Donna Haraway and reveals the 21st century direction toward interdisciplinary humanities. Although different in their study, they all participated in the debate regarding the earth, which is ignited with the emergence of anthropocene. Each scholars made an effort to speak out for the diversity, fighting against the existing main stream history prior to the Anthropocene discourses. Their claims in recent years indicate that the self-reflective humanistic insight can potentially complete the in-depth contents within the interdisciplinary methodology, which inter-crosses climatology, geology, and biology for discoursing the Anthropocene, and can be a solid center for the practice. Therefore, this study refers to the interdisciplinary studies of Chakrabarty, Parikka, and Haraway as an example of the role and functions of 21st century humanities-a methodology that imagines/speculates non-human others and human’s self-reflection at the current time of the crisis of the Anthropocene.
