초록

This study has analyzed in which nouns, the duplication of postpositions “ui” and “no” tends toappear. And the nouns were classified by The National Institute for Japanese Language andLinguistics.(2004)’s 『Classified Vocabulary Table』.Regarding the nouns connected by the duplication ofpostpositions “ui” and “no” in the original work, the researcher has examined if they are similar ordifferent between Korean and Japanese. And the author also has looked into how the duplication ofpostpositions “ui” and “no” is translated. As a result, the study has found that there are four things incommon in three noun groups connected by the duplication of postpositions “ui” and “no” in the originalwork. And according to the result of verifying if it can be classified into the “chain expression ofpossession” and “duplicative expression of possession” mentioned by Yamanashi(2004), the duplication ofpostpositions “ui” and “no” does not seem to be classified only in this way. Therefore, it is desirable toanalyze the forms of duplication more closely.Among the top five noun groups appearing in the N1 inboth Korean and Japanese original works, this author has found that the noun groups belonging to “thesubject of human activity” in The National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics.(2004)’s『Classified Vocabulary Table』 frequently appear. And considering the tendencies of translating theduplication of postpositions “ui” and “no”, the researcher has found that as the number of duplications ishigher, there is less possibility of being translated. And first, the researcher analyzed three nouns connected by the duplication of postpositions “ui” and“no” shown in Korean and Japanese both.As a result of comparing nouns appearing in Korean andJapanese’ N2 and N3, the study has found that Korean’s N2 and N3 are all included in Japanese’ N2 andN3.According to the result of comparing nouns appearing in Korean’s N2 and N3 and nouns appearing inJapanese’ N2 and N3, however, the connection of nouns by Korean and Japanese’ duplication tends toshow independent aspects. And according to the forms translated correspondingly to the translation ofthree nouns connected by the duplication of postpositions “ui” and “no”, when nouns of “1.56 body” arepositioned in N2, they tend to be translated in both Korean and Japanese.Other than this, it seems to behard to translate the duplicative form of “ui” and “no”.Also, considering the nouns translated from N2 andN3, the study has found that it tends to connect finite nouns both in Korean and Japanese. And there wasno distinctive feature in nouns connected by “no” with its three to four times of repeated use.
