韓国人日本語学習者の「もし」の使用実態について ―韓国語「혹시/hoksi/」の母語転移を日本語教育の観点から―

韓国人日本語学習者は、副詞「もし」を仮定条件表現以外の文中で使用している。多言語母語の日本語学習者横断コーパス（I-JAS）においても、仮定条件表現を含まない文中での「もし」の使用例が確認された。 本研究では、アンケート調査を通して韓国人学習者による「もし」の使用実態を調査し、さらに韓国語における仮定表現の際の「혹시」の使用実態についても考察した。 韓国人学習者の「혹시」を使用する際の意識は、仮定条件表現に共起する日本語の「もし」よりも広いことがわかった。韓国語の「혹시」を日本語の「もし」にそのまま置き換えると、誤用の原因となりうることが示唆された。 これまでの先行研究では、副詞の指導は日本語教育において重視されてこなかったと指摘されている。しかし、母語話者には副詞に対する規範意識があるため、その指導は軽視すべきではないだろう。
Abstract
Korean learners of Japanese use the adverb ‘もし’ in sentences that do not contain hypothetical conditional expressions. Even in the International Corpus of Japanese as a Second Language (I-JAS), the use of ‘もし’ in sentences that do not contain a conditional expression has been observed. This study investigates the actual usage of ‘もし’ by Korean learners through a survey, as well as the usage of ‘혹시’ in Korean when expressing a hypothetical condition. The awareness of Korean learners when using ‘혹시’ is broader than the co-occurrence of ‘もし’ with hypothetical conditional expressions. It has been shown that replacing ‘혹시’ directly with the Japanese ‘もし’ can lead to misuse. Previous research has pointed out that the teaching of adverbs has not been a focus in Japanese language education. However, since native speakers have normative awareness regarding adverbs, they should not be overlooked.
