초록

Systematic education for the gifted should be considered one of the most important policies by the state to strengthen its international competitiveness. Education for the dance-gifted aims to find out new talents and train them systematically so they can grow up as international leaders of art and educators who contribute to society with their creativeness. In order to maximize the achievement of the goal of the education for the dance-gifted, continuous researches should be done, and the state should support such studies systematically and tenaciously. The system of the education for the dance-gifted is constructed on understanding the concepts of ‘the dance-gifted’ and ‘the dance-creativeness.’ This system aims to provide plenty of opportunities for experiences and experiments in which ‘idea’ turns into ‘reality.’ To achieve this goal, this system pursues a multi-focused curriculum that includes various courses such as Basic Course and Warm-up Course for increasing creativity, Enjoy Course and Co-work (Co-project) Course, and advanced courses for each specific majors, rather than only focus on intensive practice within limited fields. Also, in the system of the education for the dance-gifted, research, study, and performance are done at the same time as an organic whole rather than done in the chronological order of research-studyperformance. In this system, students study through research, and study naturally turns into performance. The system of the education for the dance-gifted rejects education for education’s sake. Education does not mean teaching only. The system considers ‘education’ offering links between education and artistic productions and providing an environment in which education produces creative results. Therefore, it tries to build a network in which colleges, professional dance companies, and other related organizations are connected on domestic and international levels.
