The purpose of this study was to analyze the problems of overall dance gifted education curriculum and to find ways to improve it through analyzing the present condition of dance gifted education. To this end, focus groups were organized and they conducted in – depth interviews with the dancer gifted education or related researchers. The results of the study were as follows: First, problems and improvements in regard to the distinction and selection of the dance gifted were derived from three factors of discrimination criteria, discrimination method and discrimination task. Second, the dance curriculum was presented with problems and improvements by three factors in system, connection and diversity. Third, dance gifted education environment was presented with problems and improvement by two factors in expertise expansion and system set-up. Fourth, problems and improvements were derived from policy and financial support.
