Abstract

This study examined the ideological implications inherent in Chunangjeon and attempted a new educational perspective that could form the basis for social ethi- cal norms and moral practice through the personality educational approach of ele- mentary dance education. In other words, Chunaengjeon aims to be an ethical per- sonality education through Yeak ideology based on filial piety education through filial piety cultural political ideas and poetic personality education through poetic dance terms. Therefore, it is hoped that it can be an alternative to practicing not only practical education but also true education of arts for the development of a holistic personality in elementary dance education using Chunangjeon. This paper presented a model of elementary dance education that comprehen- sively integrates all the elements such as the history, ideas, dance terminology and characteristics of Chunangjeon, educational significance, song name, rhythm, and Changsa to examine the personality educational implications of elementary dance education using Chunaengjeon. The results are summarized as follows. First, it was found that the elementary dance curriculum using Chunaengjeon could be expressed delicately and correctly through the terms of Chunaengjeon's dance, the characteristics of the dance, and the educational meaning, focusing on the personality education of teaching behavior. Second, through accompani- ment music and creation, emotional stability and poetic dance were understood as Jeongjae music dealt with in the field of music appreciation during the 5th grade music curriculum in elementary school. Third, it was able to understand the symbolic meaning of spring, restoration, joy, and peace, as well as the relationship between dance and costume, which is reminiscent of the image of a nightingale singing on a spring day. To this end, "Chunengjeon" is considered to be a work that provides the basis for progressing as a person by adding filial piety and poetry, arts, and evil ideas that Confucius valued. In addition, it was found that learners had a positive effect on overall personality knowledge by learning and learning the concepts and ideas contained in the dance by performing understated composition and movement through example and evil. In order to set the core values and directions of person- ality education as an alternative to escape the physical and emotional turmoil and change of elementary dance education today, it is hoped that follow-up research will be conducted to prove the educational value of court dance by deriving a more diverse perspective and educational elements.
