평생교육에 대한 논의와 연구가 활발히 진행되어짐에 따라 다양한 특성을 가진 성인 학습자들의 학습을 도우려는 움직임이 점차로 많아지고 있다. 성인학습자들의 학습은 다차원적이고 복잡한 양상을 나타내고 있기 때문에, 성인학습자의 학습특성을 분석하는 일은 성인의 학습을 돕기 위해 반드시 선행되어야 할 필요성이 있다. 그 중에서도 자기주도학습 및 학습접근방식은 성인학습자의 학습 특성을 분석하기 위한 주요한 요인으로 간주되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 성인학습자의 자기주도학습과 학습접근방식 특성을 알아보기 위하여, 부산지역 D대학 평생교육원의 시니어강사 전문과정, 평생교육사 양성과정, 보건복지부 산하의 가정폭력 상담원 자격증 취득과정에 참가한 성인학습자 149명을 대상으로 하여 자기주도학습과 학습접근방식을 묻는 설문을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 자기주도적 학습은 연령에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 연령과 자기주도 학습의 하위 요인 중 자발적계획과 학습열정과는 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 학습접근방식에 있어서는 연령과 성별에 따른 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났으며, 그중에서도 노력관리 및 조직화 능력과의 정적 상관관계를 보였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the The differences of self-directed learning and approaches to learning in adult learners by sex and age. Subjects were 149 adults learners in classes of lifelong educational institutes in Busan. The instruments used in this study were Self-Directed Learning Readiness Questionnaire and Approaches to Learning Questionnaire. The data from questionnaire were analyzed in MANOVA, Correlation, Using SPSS 12.0K program. The study results were as follows: First, there is significant difference by age in self directed learning. especially, in voluntary planning and eager to learning. But There is not significant differences by sex in self directed learning. Second, there is significant difference by age in approach to learning. Especially, effort management and organized studying. Also, there is significant difference by sex in approach to learning and monitoring studying is especially significant.
