태권도산업의 지역특화산업화 방안에 대한 탐색

본 연구는 태권도원의 유치와 세계태권도대회 개최로 인해 한층 가치가 높아진 지자체인, 무주군을 모델로 하여 태권도를 소재로 한 태권도 산업도시 방안을 다뤘다. 현재의 단순한 상징공간 조성과 행사 위주의 평범한 태권도 도시에서, 실질적인 태권도와 관련된 산업들이 집적되는 태권도 산업도시 무주로 가기 위한 방안으로 첫째, 기존의 스포츠 및 무술 그리고 태권도 산업모형을 살펴보았다. 그 다음으로는 새롭게 부상하고 있는 관련 업종을 추가하여, 태권도 용구 용품제조업, 시설업, 교육서비스업, 문화콘텐츠업, 관광업 등 새로운 태권도산업모형을 제시하였다. 둘째는 이러한 새로운 모형을 무주군에 적용해 보았으며, 셋째는 이러한 태권도산업클러스터가 형성될 경우, 필요한 제도개선방안을 제시하였다. 이 연구를 계기로 새로운 무예산업도시모형이 활발히 논의되어, 한국에도 진정한 무예도시가 탄생하길 기대해 본다.
Abstract
The study covered the Taekwondo industry city plan based on the model of Muju County, a local government that has become more valuable due to the hosting of the Taekwondo academy and the World Taekwondo Competition. In the current simple symbolic space-building and event-oriented ordinary Taekwondo city, we looked at the existing sports and martial arts and the Taekwondo industry model as a way to get to Muju, a Taekwondo industry city where the real Taekwondo related industries are integrated. Next came the new industry model of taekwondo, including the manufacturing of equipment for taekwondo, facilities, educational services, cultural contents, and tourism. Second, we applied these new models to Muju County, and third, we proposed necessary measures to improve the system in the event of the formation of such a Taekwondo industry cluster. With this research, we hope that a new martial arts city model will be actively discussed and that a true martial arts city will be created in Korea as well.
