유아와 초등학교 저학년을 위한 음악성검사의 타당도 연구

본 연구의 목적은 여러 해 동안 걸쳐 개발된 한국의 유아 음악성 검사인 Kids' MAT의 공인타당도를 조사하는 것이었다. 연구대상은 수도권과 대구의 초등학교 1학년 110명, 2학년 105명 총 215명이었다. 연구대상학생들에게 Kids' MAT과 가창 실기고사가 실시되었고, 그 두 점수간의 상관계수가 계산되었다. 학생들의 가창은 지도교사와 연구진에 의해 개발되어 사용되었다. Kids' MAT과 가창 성취도 검사의 상 관계수는 .49이었다. 이 계수는 .01레벨에서 유의미한 결과였으며, 이것은 Kids' MAT이 음악적성을 잘 측 정하고 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.
Abstract
The goal of this study is show the concurrent validity of Kids' MAT (Kids' Music Aptitude Test), which is the only music aptitude test for young children developed in Korea. In this study, we measured and analyzed the concurrent validity of Kids' MAT by administrating Kids' MAT and song achievement test to the 1st and 2nd graders. A total of 215 elementary students in Taegu and Seoul metropolitan participated in the study. The results of the study are as follows: First, the means and the reliabilities of Kids' MAT and MAP tests show that they can be applied to these students to measure their music aptitudes. The means of the Kids' MAT tests range from 17.25 to 18.14, and are not so different from the means indicated in the test guideline. The reliabilities of Kids' MAT range from .78 to .81. The reliabilities of song tests range from .82 to .91. These reliabilities are satisfactory considering that the tests are music aptitude tests. In other words, the means and the reliabilities of Kids' MAT and song tests show that the tests can be applied to measure music aptitude of students. Second, the concurrent validity of Kids' MAT is .49. In other words, the correlation coefficient between the Kids' MAT test scores (melody + rhythm) and the song test scores is .55. This is statistically significant in the level of .001 (.p < .001). Therefore, Kids' MAT effectively measures the music aptitude of Korean students.
