다문화 가족 지원교육을 통한 결혼 이주 농인 여성의 한국생활 적응에 관한 연구

본 연구는 한국으로 이주한 결혼 이주 농인 여성들의 한국생활 적응에 초점을 두었다. 이를 위해 결혼 이주 농인 여성들이 참여한 한국어 중심의 다문화 가족 지원교육이 어떤 영역에서 도움이 되었고 효과적이었는지 그리고 교육과정에서 어떠한 고충과 현실적인 한계들이 있었는지를 파악 하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 질적 사례연구 방법을 활용해 총 4명의 결혼 이주 농인 여성을 대상 으로 면접을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, ‘한국 생활 적응단계에서의 어려움’, ‘언어와 문화적 차이에 서 오는 어려움’, ‘다문화 교육 참여 현장에서 마주한 어려움’, ‘변화를 위한 제안과 바람’으로 4 개의 주제와 ‘낯선 한국을 이해하기엔 부족한 지원체계’를 포함한 14개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 결혼 이주 농인 여성들의 한국 생활 적응을 지원할 수 있는 교육 프 로그램의 활성화를 위해 농문화의 특성을 고려한 여섯 가지 정책적 개선방안과 다섯 가지 실천적 개선방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study focuses on the adaptation of Deaf marriage migrant women to life in Korea. To this end, it aimed to understand in which areas the Korean language-centered multicultural family support education, in which these women participated, was helpful and effective, as well as the difficulties and practical limitations encountered during the educational process. The research method employed a qualitative case study approach, conducting interviews with a total of four deaf marriage migrant women. The study results revealed four main themes: ‘Difficulties in the Adaptation Stage to Life in Korea,’ ‘Difficulties Arising from Language and Cultural Differences,’ ‘Challenges Faced in the Field of Multicultural Education Participation,’ and ‘Suggestions and Hopes for Change,’ along with 14 sub-themes, including ‘Inadequate Support System for Understanding the Strange Land of Korea.’ Based on these findings, six policy improvement measures and five practical improvement measures were suggested to promote educational programs that can support the adaptation of deaf marriage migrant women to life in Korea, considering the characteristics of deaf culture.
