Abstract

Dispositions to foreign immigrants are represented by multiple forms in a global society. There are tolerant peoples, protectors, ethnopurists, and xenophobes. It is a pivotal problem that xenophobes are inclined to behave violent actions and attitudes to aliens as minorities. Xenophobia is originated from vague fears on foreigners or aliens. Types of xenophobia are classified exclusive, possessive, and toxic aspects. Exclusive xenophobia means a prototypical discrimination to foreigners and it is designated a imagined-nationalism type, possessive xenophobia makes away with a decent life condition from immigrant minorities add to prejudices and discriminations and it is named a economic-society type, and toxic xenophobia is related with nationality, ethnicity, ideology, economics, religion, and gender, and it is defined a compounded-aggravation type. These are narrative types according to xenophobic cases in a world. This paper aims to have an insight into xenophobic phenomena in a Korean society through a logic of democracy is composed of creed values, liberty or equality. The important principle of democracy is ‘e pluribus unum’ in other words, ‘out of many, one.’ It has come to suggest that out of many peoples, races, religions and ancestries has emerged a genuine one or inclusion. The concept of inclusion is derived from democratic principles and supports an expansion of citizen.
