Web3.0 시대의 도래는 기존 중앙 집중형 비즈니스 모델의 한계를 극복하고, 탈중앙화와 투명성을 강조하는 새로운 경제 생태계를 가능하게 했다. 그중 DAO(Decentralized Autonomous Organization)는 블록체인 기술을 기반으로 스마트 계약을 통해 운영되며, 자율적이고 민주적인 거버넌스를 구현할 수 있는 혁신적인 조직 모델로 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 DAO의 가능성과 도전 과제를 중심으로 DAO 거버넌스의 역할과 한계를 분석한다. 이를 위해 문헌 검토와 사례 분석을 통해 DAO가 Web3.0 시대의 조직 모델로 자리 잡을 가능성을 살펴보고 여전히 직면하고 있는 도전 과제도 검토한다. 본 연구는 DAO가 지속 가능성을 확보하기 위해 몀확한 거버넌스 설계, 효율적인 토큰 경제 제시 및 기술적·법적 검토 등을 포함해야 함을 강조한다. 이를 바탕으로 DAO가 Web3.0 생태계에서 지속 발전해 나갈 수 있는 방향에 대해 모색한다.
Abstract
The advent of the Web 3.0 age has enabled a new economic ecosystem that overcomes the limitations of existing centralized business models and emphasizes decentralization and transparency. Among them, DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is an innovative organizational model that operates through smart contracts based on blockchain technology and can implement autonomous and democratic governance. This study analyzes the role and limitations of DAO governance, focusing on the possibilities and challenges of DAO. To this end, through a literature review and case analysis, we examine the possibility of DAO establishing itself as an organizational model in the Web 3.0 era and also examine the challenges it still faces. This study emphasizes that DAO must include accurate governance design, efficient token economy presentation, and technical and legal review to ensure sustainability. Based on this, we explore the direction in which DAO can continue to develop in the Web 3.0 ecosystem.
